  The EBA Northern Conference Empire Division 1st place Elmira Bulldogs (9-1) escaped with a 1-point win over the Empire Divisions last place Hudson Valley Hype (1-6).  The Elmira Bulldogs blew a huge 23 point lead but thanks to Kirk Stewart's 38 points and 10 rebounds the Elmira Bulldogs were able to hold on.

 Other top performers for the Elmira Bulldogs included Sherod Harris who finished with 20 points and 7 assists, Brandon Lawley who finished with 19 points, 12 rebounds and 3 blocked shots, Aubin Scott with 19 points 9 assists and Kenneth Gethers with 14 points and 8 rebounds.

  The Elmira Bulldogs will be back in action on Sunday March 14th @ the Garden State Rebels in what is the final game of the EBA regular season for both teams.

'SHEROD HARRIS SPARKS ELMIRA BULLDOGS WITH 29 POINTS OFF THE BENCH INCLUDING A EBA LEAGUE WIDE SEASON HIGH (6) 3-POINTERS MADE'



  The Elmira Bulldogs (8-1) who now sit in first place in the EBA Northern Conference Empire Division with a half game lead over the NY Wizards (7-1) defeated the Washington (DC) Madness (5-2) Saturday night by the score of 142-131 in overtime.  The Washington Madness are the 1st place team in the EBA Southern Conference Capital Division.

  The Elmira Bulldogs (8-1) were led by Sherod Harris with 29 points off the bench including a EBA league season high of (6) 3-pointers made.  Brandon Lawley scored a new career high 24 points while Aubin Scott and newcomer Peter Lawal both scored 20 points each.  Elmira's double digit scoring was rounded out by Brian Jackson with 16 points scored and Kenneth Gethers with 13 points scored.  In addition to Sherod Harris strong play off the bench the Elmira Bulldogs recieved strong play off the bench from Phil Valenti with 7 points scored including a crucial 4th quarter 3 point make.  Cameron Arterberry scored 6 points off the bench while Shanod "JFK" Burton scored 5 points off the bench with all 5 points coming during the crucial 4th quarter where Burton hit a wide open 3 pointer from the corner and also soared over a Washington (DC) Madness defender for a monster slam dunk!

  The Washington Madness (5-2) were led by Lou Ford with 22 points in defeat and the Elmira Bulldogs also spoiled the Washington Madness debut of basketball legend Randy 'White Chocolate' Gill by holding him to just 10 points scored.

  With the win the Elmira Bulldogs (8-1) now have a very strong chance of winning the EBA Northern Conference Empire Division and hosting a home quarterfinal playoff game on Saturday March 20th in Elmira, NY with the winner advancing to the EBA Final 4 in Harrisburg, PA.

  The Elmira Bulldogs (7-1) are tied for 1st place in the EBA Northern Conference Empire Division with the NY Wizards (7-1) while the Washington (DC) Madness (5-1) sit all alone in first place in the EBA Southern Conference Capitol Division. 

  On Saturday night February 27th at 7:00pm from the nations capital of Washington, DC the Elmira Bulldogs (7-1) will face what could be the toughest opponent on their regular season schedule in the Washington (DC) Madness (5-1).

  The Elmira Bulldogs (7-1) feature a balanced team attack with a unheard of 8 players on the active roster averaging double figures in points.  Haron Hargrave 25.2 ppg, Aubin Scott 21.0 ppg, Eric Bresett 20.3 ppg, Kirk Stewart 18.6 ppg, Brandon Lawley 11.6 ppg, Kenneth Gethers 11.4 ppg, Cameron Arterberry 10.6 ppg and Brian Jackson 10.3 ppg.

  The Washington (DC) Madness (5-1) are led by Ernie Graham with 15.2 ppg and Darren Lee with 17.0 ppg.

  The Elmira Bulldogs (7-1) team is currently sitting in a 1st place tie in the EBA Northern Conference Empire Division with the NY Wizards (7-1).

  In the minor league's in the United States player stats are very vital to professional basketball players who aspire to make the next step to a high paying job overseas or in the NBA D-league. 

  In just 2.5 seasons in Elmira, NY the Elmira Bulldogs have sent 3 players onto high paying jobs overseas and just recently helped land former Elmira Bulldogs player Tychicus Snow in the NBA D-league playing for the Erie Bayhawks the official NBA minor league farm team of the Cleveland Cavaliers and Toronto Raptors of the NBA.
