BULLDOGS SET TO PUT ON HUGE SHOW AT DENNIS RODMAN GAMES @ FIRST ARENA BY SIGNING #1 DUNKER IN WORLD! |

The Elmira Bulldogs team management is pleased to announce the signing of the #1 slam dunk artist in the world. Shanod Burton who goes by the street ball nick name "JFK" is a 6'3" guard who has a 47' vertical leap and the ability to hang in the air longer then humanly possible.
Shanod "JFK" Burton is world famous on the street ball scene and was featured on ESPN as he was the main feature on the ESPN City Slam Tour. In 2006-2007 this street ball legend was honored by being given his own Topps basketball card that went out in packages with NBA players in which was an effort by Topps to pay tribute to the top street ball players in the world.
"When we play at First Arena on February 12th and February 13th with NBA legend Dennis Rodman as head coach we want to make sure that it is the biggest event ever in the City of Elmira", stated bulldogs general manager James R. Schutz. "The signing of Shanod "JFK" Burton one of the all-time great street ball legends paired up with one of the all-time great NBA legends in Dennis Rodman, helps to ensure that Dennis Rodman weekend will be larger then life".
Below is part of an article based on the Nike Hyper Dunk Challenge that can be found on the following site

'After the game, the NYC and D.C. crews held a heated dunk contest that came down to a battle between former Virginia Tech Hokie Bryant Matthews and – you guessed it - JFK. JFK, who has won so many dunk contests over the years that we’ve lost track of them all, erased any doubt of who the best high-flyer of the weekend was when he went for the kill with his signature dunk to finish off Matthews. JFK had an assistant hold the ball just beyond the free-throw line. He then ran and took the ball from the holder, reached back, touched his feet with his ball hand, and threw in a tough tomahawk that sent the pro-Matthews crowd into a frenzy. Kids and adults alike rushed JFK for autographs as he was declared the winner right there on the spot'.
"Micheal Jordan could dunk from the foul line while Shanod "JFK" Burton can dunk from close to the 3-point line and even perform tricks in mid air while in flight", stated bulldogs general manager James R. Schutz.
Shanod "JFK" Burton will play in his first game with the Elmira Bulldogs this Saturday January 23, 2010 @ 7:00pm in Elmira, NY from South Side High School.
In order to see street ball legend Shanod "JFK" Burton paired up with NBA legend Dennis Rodman fans will need to purchase tickets at the First Arena Box office or ticket-master locations nation-wide for the "Dennis Rodman Weekend Games" that take place on February 12th and February 13th.
The Elmira Bulldogs (3-0) have an overall franchise record of 25-6 and have won 22 of the teams last 25 games played. The Elmira Bulldogs have made it to the league title game every year in the franchise's existence (2008 NPBL title game) and (2009 EBA title game).
